Why the Blog?

I have always wanted to start a blog but could never decide on what it should be about. I wanted it to be something I was passionate about and would want to share with others, but none of the ideas I ever had seemed right. But after my last road trip with my family, I finally realized what my blog should be about. For as long as I can remember, my family has been going on road trips to quirky old towns and beautiful national & state parks. I’ve loved learning about the histories of these places and wanted to preserve them and share what I’ve learned with others. While travel blogs often show the latest go-to destinations, Off the Beaten Path will be about the stories of these hidden treasures. I'll share the stories I learn and about the memories I create at the towns, parks, & museums you probably haven't heard of yet.
