Event Planning

Timp Half Marathon Sponsorship

Q2 of both 2024 & 2025

In my role at Horrocks, one of my favorite projects has been coordinating the company's participation the local Timp Half Marathon races. As a part of this participation, I helped coordinate an official sponsorship, volunteers at an aid station, and employee participation. I created and implemented a communications plan in advance to help give employees ample time to prepare for the races should they choose to participate.

Holiday Giving Campaign

Winter 2024

Another project I worked on Horrocks was a company-wide holiday giving campaign. With employees spread out across several states, the goal of this effort was to help employees across all offices feel connected to each other as well as their local communities during the holiday season. I coordinated with each office manager to help them select a local service opportunity as well as create comms, including a central landing page on our intranet, to gather donations and volunteer lists.

In my own office, I helped coordinate with a local 'Sub for Santa' organization. I coordinated with the local organization and employees who signed up to volunteer to host a day where we all went to Target to buy the gifts. This activity not only helped us give 50 kids in our area Christmas, but encouraged employees to mingle and get to know each other better outside of work.

CORE 25th Anniversary/Open House

October 2023

As a part of my job as a Marketing Specialist at CORE, I got to be a part of helping plan the company's 25th anniversary open house in their newly renovated and expanded office. We decided to have two sections of the open house - a business relations section as well as a family one in the evening. I created the design for the physical invitations as well as a digital emailed one. I also helped put together swag boxes and information boards & slideshows around the office.

Church Youth Activities

2019

In 2019, I was apart of a church youth committee to plan activities for the over 200 youth aged 12-17 in our area. The first activity I helped plan and execute was a service activity where as youth came in, they received a different colored paper, which represented what service group they would be in. From there, groups were split up into smaller groups of 4-8 and went around to pre-planned service projects around our community.

The second activity that I helped plan and run was a 'carnival' with games and challenges, including a craft area for people who didn't care for the other options.

The final event I helped with while on the committee was a devotional where I gave a speech to the 200+ participants, encouraging them to find ways to serve those around them and share their light.
